Arizona State Basketball Gears Up: Jersey Numbers Revealed for the 2025-26 Season!
Can you believe it? Bobby Hurley is just weeks away from kicking off his 11th season as the head coach of the Arizona State men's basketball team. This upcoming season marks their second in the highly competitive Big 12 conference, and anticipation is building.
The previous season, 2024-25, proved to be Hurley's most challenging yet. Despite assembling a talented roster, the team's performance faltered once conference play began. This led to a significant player exodus, including key players like Jayden Quaintance and Joson Sanon. As a result, Hurley faced the daunting task of rebuilding the team almost entirely from scratch for the upcoming season.
The good news is that the 16-man roster was finalized last month. Now, the jersey numbers have been officially assigned, solidifying the team's identity as they prepare for the challenges ahead.

Guards: This group showcases a fascinating mix of scoring prowess and playmaking ability. One of the most intriguing additions is "Pig" Johnson, who led an NAIA school, the University of the Cumberlands, in scoring last season. Another key player is Best, the sole returnee from last season's squad, who joined the team around the start of Big 12 play. Holiman, who averaged over 16 points per game at Georgia State last season, and Moe Odum, the first 'pure' point guard Hurley has turned to in some time, round out the guard lineup.
Wings: Keep an eye on Adams Jr. as a potential breakout player. He averaged over 16 points per game and shot over 39% from beyond the arc at Cal State Northridge last season. As a former four-star recruit, Adams Jr. has a proven track record as a three-level scorer and has the potential to excel in Hurley's defensive system.
Bigs: The frontcourt is anchored by Salane and Diop, both hailing from Senegal. They bring impressive physical attributes and experience to the team. College basketball insider Jon Rothstein highlighted Diop as a 'burgeoning presence' after observing a Sun Devil practice in Tempe, a promising sign for fans.
The Sun Devils are set to tip off the 2025-26 season at Desert Financial Arena on November 4, hosting Southern Utah in Tempe.
